The expert members of our Spina Bifida Team are leaders in the diagnosis and treatment of neural tube defects and the associated conditions. They are specialists in the following areas:

Neurosurgery

	Gerald Grant, MD, is the Program Chair for the Spina Bifida Clinic and he is the Division Chief of Pediatric Neurosurgery. Area of expertise: neurosurgery, neonatal neurology
	David Hong, MD, is a pediatric neurosurgeon who specializes in treating children with brain, spinal cord and skull base tumors. Area of expertise: neurosurgery
	Kelly Mahaney, MD, is board certified in neurological surgery and pediatric neurosurgery. Area of expertise: neurosurgery
	Laura Prolo, MD, PhD, is a pediatric neurosurgeon who specializes in treating children with craniosynostosis, brain tumors, and congenital disorders. Area of expertise: neurosurgery
